Shri S. Mahalingam
Shri Seturaman Mahalingam, a part-time member of the Tax Administration Reforms Commission, started his professional career with Tata Consultancy Services in 1970. He retired from TCS as CFO and Executive Director, in February 2013 after serving the company for over 42 years. He has been the President of Computer Society of India. He is a former Chairman of the Southern Region of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), He was also the President of the Institute of Management Consultants of India. He is on the board of a few companies which includes CMC Ltd, Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd, City Union Bank Ltd, IIIT Delhi, IIT Madras Research Park and National Skill Development Corporation, besides a few not for profit organizations.
Mrs. K. Alamelu, M.A.M.Ed., M.Phil., was the Principal of P.S. Senior Secondary School, Mylapore. She has participated in various National and International Educational Forums and served in the Committees of C.B.S.E. She has conducted workshop throughout India and selected overseas locations like Muscat & Dubai. She was also a member of the C.B.S.E Governing Body. Mrs.K. Alamelu has authored text books in Mathematics for Orient Blackswan and has submitted papers on various topics in the National Conference of CBSE and other important forums. She is also the recipient of ‘National Award’ for Teachers by Govt. of India in the year 1990. Bharathi Vidyalaya since its infancy has been under the able guidance and care of Mrs. K. Alamelu who has had an enviable stint as the Principal, with many stalwarts as her students to her credit. The School is built brick by brick over many years with a firm philosophy that young talents should be nurtured, rooted strongly in time tested Indian values. Today the School continues to shape the personality of our vibrant young generations preparing them to face the challenges ahead and making them citizens with moral values and divine respect for our culture.
